August 28 & 29, 2010 - 8th Annual Summer Shade Festival Grant Park, Atlanta. Featuring art, music, food, a 5K run, children's activities, fine food and wine event - Corks & Forks, a ticketed event within the festival that hosts some of the top chefs and restaurants in the city and celebrates the culinary arts in Atlanta. August 6 - 28, 2010 - Atlanta Equestrian Exhibit, juried and judged by well known equine, canine and portrait artist Robert Christie, Reception: Friday, August 6, 6:00 - 8:30 pm. This exhibition of fifty 2D and 3D fine art works from the U.S. and Canada will benefit the Humane Society of Atlanta specifically Atlanta's fight against dog fighting, the Gulf oil crisis, and horse rescue efforts.
