EVELYN SADOVSKY Fine Art Cloisonne
As an MBA graduate living in the corporate world, I never imagined that one day I would fall completely in love with the art of enameled jewelry. Originally from the former USSR, I grew up surrounded by creative people. My mother taught piano. My grandmother was a fantastic tailor who introduced me to the beautiful world of textures, colors and accessories. My father, a pilot by trade, in his spare time carved wooden vessels, chiseled copper plates to create amazing pictures, and was an amateur painter. I toyed with the idea of making jewelry, taking classes at the local art center...but something was missing...until I discovered enameled jewelry! While traveling through Europe a few years ago I ran across enameled jewelry, it was love at first sight! Once back in the states I immersed myself in learning the cloisonné enameling process. I attended workshops with American and International Cloisonné artists, participated in Enamel Conferences and practiced tirelessly for hours upon hours, day after day. Every piece I make carries a touch of my heart and my life experiences.
